Did you know the government will pay up to £350 per socket for you to introduce a maximum of 40 EV charging stations in your workplace?
What is the scheme?
The UK government will contribute up to 75% of the purchase and installation costs of EV charging points, up to £350 per socket with a maximum of 40 points across all sites for each applicant. If your application is successful, the UK government will issue a voucher that could see them pay up to £14,000 to install charging points in your workplace.
This is part of a push for greener roads in Britain, with the UK government aiming for 0 net emissions by 2050.
Who can apply?
The voucher-based scheme is aimed at businesses, charities and public sector organisations who are looking to lead the way to become environmentally friendly.
You must be a registered business, charity, or public sector organisation evidenced by a Companies House reference number. Alternatively, you can apply by using your VAT registration number or HMRC registration letter.
Only installers who have been authorised by OZEV for the WCS can only redeem a voucher, and they must have approval from a chargepoint manufacturer to install their chargepoint models, which are approved by OZEV. They must be authorised before they begin installing chargepoints.

Once the chargepoint(s) have been installed, the authorised installer will claim the grant from OZEV on the applicant’s behalf through the online installer portal. OZEV will not pay claims against expired vouchers.
